HACT - Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust

Founded in 1990, the Hillcrest AIDS Centre Trust (HACT) is dedicated to saving and transforming lives. As one of the first NGO’s in South Africa to respond to the HIV/AIDS epidemic, HACT has established a reputation for making a significant and meaningful impact in the lives of people impacted by the disease.

SUNFLOWER FUND - DKMS-AFRICA

The Sunflower Fund - now DKMS Africa, has the vision of giving all South Africans diagnosed with Leukaemia and other life-threatening blood disorders the chance of life, irrespective of their race and financial circumstances.

Their mission is to educate and recruit a viable source of well-informed potential bone marrow stem cell donors who are ethnically diverse, in an effort to save the lives of those suffering from life-threatening blood disorders like Leukaemia and are in desperate need of a transplant.

OPEN DOOR CRISIS CENTER

The Open Door Crisis Care Centre (The Open Door) is a non-profit, interdenominational outreach organisation established in 1997 by Thora Mansfield at the request of the local South African Police Services. Their aim is to sustain a holistic, multifaceted one-stop crisis and trauma centre offering counselling, social services, and support groups.
